The Minolta AF 50 mm f/ 1.7 is usually used as a portrait lens. It is still used in film and digital SLR Minolta and up-to-date Sony A cameras. It is one of the extreme compact Minolta AF lenses.A relatively large maximum aperture makes it possible to shoot indoors without a flash with ISO settings of 110-200. To achieve better sharpness it is recommended to stop down; better resolution is achieved at f/5.6 — 2329 and 1903 LW/PH at the center and on the edges respectively.
