A superb Omega WW2 (1944) Royal Navy Fleet
Air Arm pilot watch complete with the famous British military markings
on the case back.
Omega have a rich history of association with varies militaries. The
likes of the British military used them in WW2 as accuracy and
reliability in these watches was imperative for the Royal Navy and RAF
terms to calculate distances and locations etc.
The case measures some 33.5 mm excluding the winding crown and lugs
and is in good condition for its age. The case back is marked 'H.S.8.’
with the famous military broad arrow and a further reference of ‘3291’.
The inner of the case back is correctly signed 'Omega' and carries
model reference of 2292.
The movement is the famous caliber 30T2 SC and it runs well keeping good
time. The all-original example is of course fully signed Omega and
has 16 jewels.
The original, silvered dial is in good condition for its age as the photography shows, it is 100% original.
The hours are printed in black and in Arabic form to compliment the
original hands including sweep centre seconds. 'Omega' with the famous
logo read clearly in black print.
The watch comes with a handmade NATO strap.
