In the early 1970s The Sun newspaper issued tokens in the paper every day which you had to collect and then send away in
exchange for football stamps.

The stamps were about the same sort of size as standard postage stamps and the designs varied from team line ups to
trophies and were designed to be stuck in an album that held about 500 stamps.

You can still get hold of these complete albums but it getting harder and harder to get hold of individual stamps if you just want
your own teams issues or just one or two to complete your album.

This listing is for ONE of those original stamps.

NOTE - We do have all of the stamps from this series so if you are after one in particular and it isnt listed just drop us a mail.

Please note that the use of any trademarks in this listings title and description are purely for descriptive purposes of the product concerned
and do NOT imply or infer that we have any connection to or are in any way affiliated to any such trademark owner.

Products advertised are items that have at some point been licensed and/or released commercially by, or with the consent of, the
trademark holder and as such the product CAN BE LEGALLY RESOLD providing clear and concise reference is made to the origins of the
product, furthermore the trademark can legally used in the descriptive manner outlined above under the exhaustion of trademark rights as
set out in Article 7 of the Trade Mark Directive 89/104/EEC.

To clarify the above - an "Exhaustion" of trademark rights deems that once a branded product has been placed or commercialised on the
market by the trademark holder or with his consent, he cannot prohibit the further commercialisation (resale) of that product. His rights in
restricting resale of said products are deemed to be "exhausted" by the act of first selling it.

In addition the intellectual property right is also said to be "exhausted" by this first act of commercialisation and as such any attempt
at preventing the act of resale can be deemed as restriction of free trade.
