Höfner has introduced new “Cavern” version of their Ignition Series Violin basses
The pickups on the new models are positioned closely together and towards the neck in the Cavern style, similar to Paul McCartney’s original 1961 bass.

The Hofner Violin Bass was designed by Walter Hofner and launched at the Frankfurt Music Messe in 1956.

It has since gone on to become one of the most recongisable electric bass guitars in the music world in terms of both looks and sound.

The Hofner Vintage 61 Violin Bass takes it's name from the Cavern Club in Liverpool, England.

Opened in 1957 this Club was one of the most important small clubs in Europe for bands trying to make it big in the Beatboom era.

In 1960 the first beat night session was held featuring Rory Storm and the Hurricanes with Ringo Starr on drums,

and by mid 1961 the Merseybeat scene was in full flow with the Beatles and the Cavern Club centre stage.

Inspired by the original 1961 model which was purchased by Paul McCartney

My Store Demo guitars and basses are a tremendous value. These guitars are often sold at hundreds of dollars less than their 'new' counterparts. They have never been previously sold in retail or distributed to a music store. They usually have a minor cosmetic flaw that prevents them from being sold as new instruments. These instruments do not have major flaws (UNLESS STATED). These blemishes or marks do not affect the playability of the instruments at all. All the electronics, pickups, tuners, neck and frets etc. are good. I buy my guitars and basses directly from the manufacturer. There is no manufactures warranty Each instrument gets set up and checked by me before it is released for sale.

Once your parcel is in your country, it will pass through your customs office which can add time to the delivery. Customs can hold a parcel for several weeks and open up packages for inspections and may not track until released.

RETURNS

Return must be approved by me before shipping. Any shipping damage must be reported within 24 hours of delivery.

Any refunds on returned items will NOT include shipping and handling charge, return shipping will be paid buy BUYER. Shipping Box and all packing must be kept for inspection.

NOTE: We do all of our own photography. We do our best to represent the products as accurately as possible.
