When Phillip McCallen decided to hang up his leathers for good after 17 years as one of most gifted and successful racers in these islands with a long string of victories to his name, it was a natural step to opening his own motorcycle dealership. That was back in 2001 and his first showroom was in Lurgan, Co Armagh, not far from his home town of Tandragee. Today he has one of the most modern show rooms and workshop in the UK and represents three marques, Triumph, Kawasaki and KTM.

Phillip was in business for only a year when he took on the Triumph franchise and has built it up to the point where he is in the top ten of dealerships representing the Hinckley factory in Leicestershire. But getting to this stage has entailed lots of hard work, work that he was not afraid to put in when he was racing -- 11 TT victories, five wins from six starts at the NW 200, five wins on one day at the Ulster Grand Prix, numerous British Supersport wins and, if that were not enough, competed in the old Formula One series, the Thunderbike series and the Macau Grand Prix.

It was not long before bike enthusiasts from all over Northern Ireland the Republic of Ireland province started to visit Phillip McCallen Motorcycles at his Lurgan based business and he quickly established a reputation for making time to having a friendly word with each customer and, equally importantly, being the man to buy a new or pre-owned bike from. He and his staff really know how to package a good deal.

No surprise, then, that Kawasaki came under the McCallen umbrella in 2005 to be followed by the Austrian-built KTM machines three years later. But the business's growth also posed a problem for Phillip - it had outgrown its first home. He looked around for new premises and in the Spring of 2009 he moved lock stock and crankshaft to purpose built 12,000 sq ft premises at the Portman Business Park on the outskirts of Lisburn, a location easily reached from both sides of the border.

He cut his business teeth with the defunct Motorcyle City chain in Britain, first as a sponsored racer and then as general manager in after sales. He soon learnt that if a customer had a problem, it had to be dealt with immediately, a philosophy he has carried over to his business today. He views every customer as of equal value, from the rider who wants a new tax disc holder to the customer who wants to buy a Triumph Rocket 111, or Kawasaki's mile-munching tourer, the GTR1400 or KTM's 990 Adventure, a motorcycle designed to take you around the world.

As well as selling bikes we also hire motorcycles and this gives you an opportunity as a visitor to Northern Ireland to tour this beautiful island of ours. Of course we have a range of demo machines, too, giving you an opportunity to sample before your buy. Don′t be put off if you′re a newcomer to motorcycling; we also have our own riding training scheme to prepare you for the driving test. It′s not difficult with our expert tuition.

Our range of after market parts includes some of the most famous names in motorcycling, from Brembo brakes, Akrapovic, Arrow and Remus exhausts systems to Ohlins and K-Tech suspension units and Sigma slipper clutches. The number of items in the Motrax accessory catalogue is simply mind boggling. And to round off any motorcycle run or holiday you can record all your fun and action with Drift action cameras.

DELIVERY TERMS AND CONDITIONS

We aim to dispatch orders within 1 working day from the time payment is received. Please note if we do not have the item/s you require in stock, we will contact you ASAP with a delivery date and give you the option of a full refund if you prefer.

During the order payment process the Purchaser will be presented with delivery options depending on delivery location. It is the responsibility of the Purchaser to choose the correct shipping method. Phillip McCallen Motorcycles reserves the right to refuse shipping of any order for which insufficient delivery payment has been made.

INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING

We do offer international shipping. If your country is not listed under shipping options in the shopping basket, please contact us for individual shipping charges.

DELIVERY OF HELMETS, SAFETY GUARANTEED

Regardless of the price, we will only deliver your helmet by our preferred Couriers with charges starting from £8.99 for helmets costing less than £100 (over £100 are shipped free - see above for terms).

We don't cut corners or costs when safety is involved.

Returns

You may return any Products you have purchased within seven (7) working days of delivery for any reason (including if you simply change your mind) provided that the Product is unused, undamaged and in its original packaging with all tags in place. To do so you must notify us in writing or other durable medium (including email) within those seven (7) working days. You will then be entitled to a refund from us, which will be paid as soon as possible, but in any event within thirty (30) days of safe receipt of your returned Product in compliance with this clause. You must arrange for and pay the costs of returning the Products to Phillip McCallen Motorcycles Ltd ­ on request, we will collect the Products from you, but the cost of this will be charged to you and we may deduct this from the refund. While in your possession, you must keep any Products you intend to return to us in good and saleable condition with all original packaging and tags in place.

If: (a) the Product delivered is not what you ordered or does not correspond with its description; (b) the Product delivered is not of a satisfactory quality; or (c) the Product is not fit for any other purpose for which you have bought it and you notified Phillip McCallen Motorcycles Ltd of this purpose before purchase, and Phillip McCallen Motorcycles Ltd has not informed you that the Product is not fit for that purpose; Phillip McCallen Motorcycles Ltd will, at its option, deliver to you a replacement Product or refund to you the price paid and your reasonable costs of returning the Products.
