GRADING

All of our records/CDs/ merchandise are graded using the standard UK Record Collector Grading system as follows:

  • MINT (M ): The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.  
  • EXCELLENT (EX): The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and / or creasing.
  • VERY GOOD (VG): The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.
  • GOOD(G): The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration, etc.
  • FAIR(F): The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and / or defaced.
  • POOR(P): The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.
  • BAD(B): The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as collection filler.

Items will be sent in strong protective packing.

Postage discounts are available for multiple items, so please wait to be invoiced if you are making multiple purchases.  

 

DISPATCH

Dispatch is usually on the Saturday of the week of payment if received by Thursday. We only ship once a week.

Dispatch is usually on the Friday of the week of payment.

 

Delivery

 

Delivery times to a UK address

Should be within, 2 to 4 working days, but please note the Post Office will not consider a missing parcel enquiry until 15 working days have passed.  Please remember that Royal Mail only collect on normal working days so if you place an order at the weekend or near a bank holiday period please allow a few extra days for dispatch and delivery.

 

Delivery times to an overseas address

Should be within a Week or so but have often been known to take up to 3 weeks.

Please note the UK Post Office will not consider an overseas missing parcel enquiry until after a month of posting

 

Undelivered items

If any parcel is returned to us because either the buyer failed to collect it or if the delivery address given by the buyer is incorrect/ incomplete.

It is the buyer’s responsibility to pay for it to be re-posted.

 

 

QUALITY OF THE ITEMS OFFERED

 

Our aim is to supply quality records, CD’s and other music related items.

Each item listing will show a specific condition grading (see grading system below). Because of the quantity I sell, the majority of gradings are visual. All items are packed and dispatched by me in strong packaging.

 

GRADING SYSTEM

 

SS: Still sealed, should be mint and has not been played.

Mint: Insert and any extra items are in perfect condition. CD/disc is brand new

Near Mint: Insert is nice and new looking with very slight signs of wear, CD/disc has some very slight surface marks, but with no lessening in sound quality.

EX: Insert has some slight wear, and is still in nice collectible condition. CD very clean, only light surface marks which will not distract significantly from the sound

VG: Insert may have medium overall wear. CD/disc  played often with moderate surface wear - still plays well.

 

NB. Any disc grading less than this, in the majority of cases, we will give a specific condition/comment

My aim is to ensure that you are 100% happy with the item(s) you have purchased from me. If you do not like the product that you have purchased you may return the item within 7 days of receipt (unopened) for a full refund (not including postage). In accordance with UK Law any defective items will be replaced (subject to availability) or fully refunded including return postage.
