Mistral conical carbon fiber Griso exhaust was on my 8 valve 1200. (see photo) Billet aluminum end cap. Includes removable db killer. Weighs significantly less than stock.

Mistral exhaust components are top quality products designed and built by craftsmen in the city of Mandello del Lario, which is the home town of Moto Guzzi motorcycles. The sound produced by Guzzis running Mistral products is the classic Guzzi sound of Mandello. This exhaust comes equipped with the original removable “db killer” which are secondary internal baffles located at the rear of the muffler that are held in place with a small screw.

It has never been removed.

Most people run their Mistrals with the db killers removed in order to obtain the fullest sound. I have not needed to make any engine adjustments. Just replaced the original with it. Slip on slip off!!
