my client list is a decade old. this listing is for one of the most often worn Jacket styles in my W&G closet.

ITEM DESCRIPTION
I have for your consideration today a : Willis and Geiger safari Jacket. Built of their proprietory 100% Cotton Bush Poplin. This is their HEMMINGWAY model, in Tan, and is therefore constructed with an internal belt. It has heavy-duty elastic gathers built in at the waist so it acts belted, but there is nothing to lose or to get hung up on brush etc. It is a pleasure to find a W&G Jacket in this fine condition. These are exceptional garments. The one in my closet is green in color. I dry-clean it every season. Bush Poplin can be launder; however, it responds in a spectacular fashion to the dry-cleaning process. This gives it a stiffer hand and a beautiful finish, i recommend it. The jacket offered today is one of those designed when W&G were still built with "intended use" and not some price point as the guiding principle. Its a Blue Label Series. There are two side seams instead of one, numerous sets of "boxed - x" reinforced stitches at stress points, details that can not be seen but are greatly appreciated when pockets are full. The epaulets really work and there tabs to secure the sleeves if you need to roll them up. Right shoulder padding and left breast shell pockets round out the safari intent of this classic jacket. The classic Bush Poplin label rides inside the left front of the jacket and the company history in the right. This one is marked a "L" and measures 24.5" across the back of jacket right at the armpits. The jacket length is 33" down the back and has a 37" sleeve length. Garment shows little to no wear, excellent pre-owned condition! Willis & Geiger the way it was meant to be.

Having worn W&G for nearly 3 decades and trading it here on eBay for the past 11 years, one thing is evident: the stock of high quality Willis and Geiger gear is dwindling. We see the great pieces less and less. New Old Stock stashes are fewer and fewer. Well managed, vintage stock items are just flatly harder to find. I am very pleased that I own the bulk of the W&G pieces I plan to. There are only a couple of items for which I am still in the market. The remainder of stock I am able to locate and acquire I share here on eBay. Routinely I sell only the highest quality pieces. If there is an issue with one of my pieces I will be clear about that issue. Please remember that at this point in time any W&G item is pre-owned. New old stock does appear on occasion and because of the quality of pre-Lands End items many of the older pieces remain in excellent used condition. I hope to be helpful to those looking for excellent pre-owned Willis & Geiger gear. I do keep some stock not currently listed here and I also have clients for whom I locate particular W&G items that are never listed.
