The Hammond Organ is an electric organ, invented by Laurens Hammond and John Hanert, and whose manufacturing began in 1935. Several models were produced over the next few decades, most of which used sliding drawbars to produce a variety of sounds. It is estimated that around 2 million Hammond organs were manufactured.
