Established in 1998 in association with Cadillac Motor Division, Bruce Arnold Models are cast and finished in California to exacting museum-quality standards. Creator of the rock band Orpheus, and songwriter for such artists as Hootie & the Blowfish, Bruce Arnold has been a life-long collector of classic cars. He became interested in collecting model cars in 1988, when he first discovered 1/43 scale. His knowledge of both automotive history and the model car industry earned him the position of feature writer for Model Auto Review, the most prestigious international collectors' magazine.

Arnold believed that the accuracy and fidelity of most of the models he reviewed needed improvement. When he began manufacturing investment-grade models of his own design and pattern, his first model, a 1953 Cadillac Eldorado, was promptly chosen "Most Collectible Model of the Year" by the authoritative Mobilia Magazine. In 1999, Cadillac Motor Division commissioned a two-piece special edition for their world-wide "Cadillac Collection 2000" promotion. They remain the only handbuilt models ever sold directly by Cadillac. Articles about Bruce Arnold Models have appeared in Collectible Automobile (VOL 25 #1), AutoWeek magazine, the Los Angeles Times and numerous other enthusiast publications including Ford in Miniature and GM in Miniature by Randall Olson. These last two reference books make excellent comparisons of BAM models with others by Motor City USA, Madison, Conquest and Western.

Bruce Arnold carefully designs and creates a completely unique master pattern for every part of the model. This requires repeated access to a full size subject as well as hundreds of measurements and photographs to authenticate even the smallest detail. Access to the exclusive General Motors Archives is vital to re-creating accurate miniatures such as these.

All BAM manufacturing processes are environmentally compatible. Our metal alloys, resins and paints have been specially formulated to meet strict California standards, the most stringient in the world. Our revolutionary low-carbon tire moulding technology is clean and completely eliminates yellowing and splitting. BAM products are currently the only earth-friendly miniatures being made today. Join us in asking all handbuilt model manufacturers to restrict or stop using lead all together in their alloys and paints.
