The first Sanyo Beta VCR’s came along in 1977. The line of Sanyo Beta VCR’s are very well made, unlike a lot of Sony models. Sanyo Beta VCR’s to this day are less problematic.
Betacord VCR’s, when the tape was loaded, much like VHS, tape did not thread around the head. During rewind and Fast forward there is no tape to head contact, which means less head wear during use.
Condition:
Used vintage item in great shape. I was unable to fully test it as I could not hook it up, but all functions seem to work perfectly. Cassette pops up nicely, Play, Record, FF, REW, etc seem to work fine, no strange sounds or squealing when the tape is playing.
