'Carl Zeiss D.F. 6x'

 

Standard World War 1 German army binoculars - 'Carl Zeiss D.F.6x' (Doppel-Fernrohr). Originally introduced in 1907 and used extensively until the end of the war in 1918. All Infantry commanders where equipped with a pair of binoculars. This model was still in use as a privately purchased binoculars untill World War 2. The Binoculars have the maker marked by the company of 'Carl Zeiss' in Jena. The binoculars are also bearing the inscription 'D.F. 6x' and the number '705384'. The focus adjustments are still functional a little stiff.  In need of some cleaning and some damage as can be seen in pictures. Original Leather Strap still attached.
