Vitale's many songwriting credentials include the classic, "Rocky Mountain Way" from "The Smoker You Drink, The Player You Get" album by Joe Walsh and, "Pretty Maids All In A Row" from The Eagles album, "Hotel California." Vitale has two solo albums and has just released his third called "Speaking In Drums."

“Speaking In Drums” contains the very best of Joe’s material written between 1982 and 2008, and includes the rock anthem, “Get The Shovel” (…When I’m too old to rock & roll, just get the shovel and dig the hole”), the nostalgic rocker, “Roots Of Rock & Roll,” drum-featured songs such as “Love’s Such A Mystery,”  “I Play The Drums,” “The Beat Of My Heart,” “Speaking In Drums,” and beautiful Beach-Boy-inspired ballads “You Are My Sunshine,” “Oh Oh Susie, ” She’s The One,” and “I’m So Lonely Tonight.” 

His son, Joe Vitale Jr. has released his debut CD called, "Dancing With Shadows” which Joe Vitale produced. The CD can best be described as classic rock meets industrial.  Multi-instrumentalist Joe Vitale Jr., has toured with Joe Walsh, Crosby, Stills and Nash, and The Stephen Stills Blues Band.  He’s received critical acclaim for digital audio editing and engineering on two of Stephen Stills solo projects.  Besides touring, songwriting and recording over the last nine years, he’s worked for Sony Creative Software creating loop libraries and is a highly respected speaker at music industry conferences discussing audio and video production, mastering, marketing and other aspects of the music business.
