The Perdix AI is Shearwater Research's brand new version of the amazing Perdix that now permits air integration. The interface and screen are truly amazing - incredibly easy to see and intuitive to use. This is not the Basic Perdix, which is a less expensive computer offering fewer features. This listing is for the more capable Perdix AI, which is significantly more advanced than the Perdix Basic. This listing is for the Perdix AI computer and transmitter and a pelican case that includes a foam insert. The Pelican case will hold and protect both the computer and transmitter. We can also procure the VPM upgrade codes to activate the VPM algorithm. The "Perdix AI" is a different and higher end model than the "Perdix" without the "AI" (or Air Integration) suffix. Please make sure you know which one you want and which one a seller is selling when looking at a particular item on ebay.
With this listing you will receive a brand new Perdix AI and transmitter and pelican case. We absolutely love this computer and use it (2 at a time, one on each arm) for all of our technical diving, technical student training, and technical instructor training.
The computer can calculate decompression profiles using Buhlmann with gradient factors or VPM algorithms and leverages integrated Bluetooth for log book synchronization after the dive, firmware updates, and you can even update the boot screen with your own logo. One of our favorite features about this computer is the beautiful and incredibly easy to see screen. For technical diving, there is nothing better than this computer and we have tried a whole lot of technical diving computers. It is also one of the best computers for recreational diving in OC Recreational Mode.
For best performance procure SAFT LS14500 batteries for the unit. It will take normal AA, but they last about 40 hours of use and the SAFT LS14500 last about 100 hours of use.
Keep your eyes out for the up and coming Shearwater Cloud System that is out now for Android and will be out shortly for iphone. It will be a better option that the desktop software for log book downloads and firmware upgrades. If you have any questions, feel free to ask.
