Yaesu FT-5200 removable head unit with the dreaded yet common LCD failure where the Liquid Crystal has leaked & spread across the screen, blackening out the display rendering it unreadable. Having already checked with Yaesu UK for a replacement part, I can report that the LCD panel itself has been unavailable since 2007. As the photos show, the head unit itself is in good clean condition, and does work in as much that it can blindly operate the functionality of the radio. Nevertheless, because of the failed LCD display, it is being offered only for spares.
