'Strictures' is inappropriate for this piece of work, as it is more of an account of William Whewell's 'History of the Inductive Sciences', with very little criticisms.

William Whewell's 'History of the Inductive Sciences' was one of William Whewell's major works, and in it he traced the different branches of science and how they evolved.

Very good. Rubbed with pencil inscriptions on the rear free endpaper and front blank. Foxed throughout.
