Handmade Stoneware with Glazed Label

This is the second in my series of hand built stoneware clay jugs.

I like to create pieces that I always hoped to find poking around in some barn or attic.

Imagine finding this and then wondering what it could have held or who could have used it?

Deep purple/blue glazes look like a night sky swirling in the background. The wolf is raised up off the surface of the jug.

These stoneware jugs were all hand built from stoneware clay, then glazed with several types of glazes and underglazes.

I silk screened my own ceramic decals for the fronts of each piece.

As with each of my other projects that include clay and decals, each piece had to be fired 3 times - bisque, glaze, and decal.
