NEW MEXICO ESTATE SALE!!!!

VINTAGE NATIVE AMERICAN STERLING SILVER LARGE  BOLO TIE. I think this tie was made by someone in the Hopi tribe.  The Bear Clan is in the Hopi tribe in New Mexico.  This bolo has 4 bear prints, two arrows and 4 other prints of animals, all pointing in the 4 directions which stands for a number of things (stages of life, human races, etc). The borders of the bolo are decorated in traditional Native American stamping.  The bolo tie weighs about 24.4 grams.  The measures approximately 2-1/2" in length. The tips measure approximately 1-3/4" in length. The bolo is not marked but tested for sterling with a JSP acid test and is nonmagnetic.

The bolo is in excellent vintage condition with no dents, or repairs.  The tips are in excellent vintage condition with no dents.  There is scratching and patina consistent with age. This being said, excellent vintage condition is not new condition and it will not appear as new.

The black leather cord is in excellent condition and measures approximately 36" (including tips).
