Early 1930's DECO Edison Radio
Beautiful original Cathedral Radio
Solid and well preserved and updated.
The power cord has been updated with a modern cable with a period correct bakelite plug.
The two paper rectangular Capacitors  marked 8 were by passed and replaced with a plastic coated equivalent.
All but one tube tested good and the one incorrect tube was replaced.
The radio powers up, but all I can here is static. The dial light works, however the tuner is very stiff.
Will require a very long antenna or more to play.
Rare museum quality for display as is radio.
The grill cloth has been replaced from a donor Edison console radio.
 Take a look at the photos. The pattern, the brand the vintage is all correct.
  The wood on this radio is solid and there is no damage to the grill bars.
 The knobs are good and original. The finish looks great as is.

All in all ~ this would be a very nice addition to any collection!
Will be well packed with fresh bubble rap in a heavy duty box.
Bubble-rap will be in every nook and cranny to prevent damage during shipping 
(as I do with all radios and electronics.)
