This is a great lens that came as a part of a new camera bundle. I got a different zoom lens that will suit my purposes more, and am selling this one new and unused. It's the perfect compliment to any kit lens (usually an 18-55mm) that will help you get intermediate to high-zoom shots. The optics are way better with the "ED" extra-low dispersion glass than the lower cost Nikon counterpart. And for the zoom range, this lens seems relatively light and compact.

This is a must have if you want to expand your options beyond the kit lens, or if you want a great zoom lens as a back up or travel option for your higher end or faster lens.

If you're doing indoor sports photography, then it could be nice to have a faster lens (i.e. one with a bigger aperture to capture more light), but for basically everything else, it is probably not worth the 10-fold increase in cost to get something like the faster AF-S NIKKOR 70-200mm f/2.8G ED VR II for $2000 or something else on that level.
