Offered for sale is an Omega 166.163 Geneve in 18 carat gold from 1972 and is from my personal collection. In order to free up funds for the repair of a very rare watch I must let go at least one of my other pieces. It's one I hate to see go ... so make sure it goes to a good home.

This is an excellent example of its type. The case has not been polished and retains all its edges as it should. The movement has been serviced in the last three months (I can find out the receipts for it if needed). There was an issue with the rotor bush, resulting in a mark on the inside of the caseback but this has been rectified. The movement, and watch, runs like a train. There are some minor scratches on the case back. If the new owner wishes, they could be polished but I don't think they detract from the watch in any way. This is a 45 year old piece and, on the whole, it looks like new.

The watch was one of the first to use the 1012 movement. The watch measures 35mm across the case, 38mm including the crown. Dial, crown, caseback and movement are all signed. It is fitted with a brown leather embossed strap but that is easily changed if you prefer something else.

Please see the photographs for details of the watch. I use a macro lens for the photographs which shows details that would not be visible to the naked eye. More than that, I try to show my items for sale in "the worst light", deliberately focusing on any flaws so that the buyer is fully aware of what they are getting. If you want more details, please feel free to message me.

Due to the value of this watch, postage will be fully tracked and insured. I will message the buyer and ensure that everything is correct prior to despatch (please don't take this personally, but there are a lot of attempted frauds when it comes to quality watches on eBay).

If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact me.

Thank you for reading.
