Flamenco guitar
José Ramírez 1964   $5,500.00

This Flamenco guitar is one the last remaining guitars of Jim Messina's private collection he has been selling off.

It was built by José Ramirez signature in 1964, one of the most prolific periods of which drew to his shop guitarists worldwide both classical and flamenco: Paco de Lucia, Manolo Sanlucar, Narciso Yepes, Serranito... among others.

This Flamenco guitar is built with superior quality woods, impossible to obtain nowadays. The top are made of German spruce has a totally straight and even grain, which is quite accentuated. The back and sides are made of cypress wood, whose beauty and quality are simply magnificent.

The sound emerging from this guitar possesses some special features and nuances, where the flamenco touch from this signature can be definitely found. The basses are very strong, with a very particular percussive sound. The treble is just crystalline and well defined and with an amazing scope, all of which makes for quite a balanced set of features.

The tension of this flamenco guitar is middle, and the height of strings in saddle and fingerboard is perfectly balanced, providing a high degree of comfort for both hands.

Subsequent to its purchase, a “Certificate of Authenticity” will be generated in the name of the new owner and signed by Jim Messina for future appraisals and/or when updating one's musical investment collection portfolio.

The condition of this flamenco guitar is excellent and completely original as the photographs do reveal.
