GENUINE HONDA VALVE SPRING RETAINERS SET. 

This is a set of 16 valve spring retainers.

These are the retainers found on the B18C Integra DC2 and the B16B Civic Type R EK9. 

These will fit all B-Series applications from 1992 to 2001. 

Most of the B Series engines have been on the road for around 20 years now, and we all know these engines have been used hard. 

We have seen cases where the original retainers crack and fail if the engine has been used on the red line for a good part of its life.

This happens especially on the higher reving engines such as the B18C Type R and the B16B Type R. 

There are occasions where cracked retainers were discovered , during a random valve clearance adjustment on engines with as little as 80.000 miles on them. Unfortunately you need to remove the retainers to discover these cracks underneath. So we advise to replace them nevertheless on your next service, for piece of mind. 

No need to mention that if any of the 16 retainers goes off, your engine will be severely damaged.  

These retainers do not need to be replaced every 15.000 miles like aftermarket titanium retainers do.
