I received the bass today in perfect condition. Morten came by and picked it up at the post office, unpacked, assembled and tried it out at my place. Let me tell you, he's one happy bass player now. The bass is perfectly set up for him, just the way he wanted it. You were right about the pickup too. There's no need for an external preamp, I found the pickup to deliver about the same output level as a bass guitar when plugged into my recording system. The bass sounds very authentic when plugged in.
