1968 Lamborghini Islero

If you are looking at this auction, you know about this very important piece of automotive history.
It is 1 of only 125 ever built. Many of them do not still survive. My Islero is Vin # 6318. Engine # 2457. 104th Islero built.

I have for sale, my last car. I have owned over 30 exotics, and this one is by far the rarest. I have worked on this car for two years. The car was painted in the original color of "Argento, with Tobacco interior". Mechanical work completed just last month includes all new valves and guides, timing chains, alt. belt, coolant hoses, fuel filter, points, plugs, gaskets, oil and filter, etc. I have receipts. It has new tires. The Islero runs very nice. It was offered for sale on 1-28-69, and I have documentation from 1970. The paint is very nice. The interior is in very good condition, and I believe mostly original. The bright work, glass, lenses, etc. are in nice shape. The dash is very nice. This car underwent a major restoration in 1982 in England. I also have receipts for that work. I understand the odometer was reset at that time. I also have documentation from previous ownership confirming this. I have other documentation regarding former owners. The car currently reads 10,312 km. To be 43 years old it is in great shape. You will see the 350 and 400 series Lamborghini's listed for 350,000 and up. Compared to Ferrari"s of the same caliber, "they are worth it". I have no doubt that the Islero will hit $200,000 on a regular basis in a very short time. They have already sold for over $200K. I have this car at a "very fair, and I believe a Low price". Many of you just witnessed a "project" Islero sell for $73,000 on e-bay. I am not knocking that gentleman"s car, but my car is miles, and tons of money, ahead of that car. Please consider this when bidding. I do not have time for casual conversation, so please only serious bidders contact me. PPI is welcomed.
******* I have friends working on the sale of this car, so the auction may end suddenly *******
 Thanks.

*******  I have been asked about overseas shipping. I have experience with this, and can give the name of a very good shipper that I have used in the past. They do a great job. Just let me know if you need this. Thanks.

I thought I would add a nice comment that I received from a gentleman many of you know.
"FY
I- ISLEROS drive better than 350's and 400's due to their shorter wheelbase". I missed my opportunity to own a 400 years ago. From today's standard, I would have stolen it. Oh well, we all know what the 350, and 400s' have done. The Islero will be next.
