Yes these suit cars presently with no free wheeling hubs. When engaged everything is like normal and change on the fly still works. It's just now you can dis-engage them and drive along without the wheels forcing the front axles and front diff to turn. That saves power and fuel as well as wear and tear.

A popular use is that some people want to slowly back caravans and boats into driveways etc and like to use low range for the slow speed but dont want 4wd because of the turning etc.

I wanted to say more in the feedback but there wasn’t room.
I bought these for a 2012 (MY2011?) Isuzu D-Max.
The hubs arrived very quickly and were easy to fit.
I can’t really comment on the fuel economy improvement as the ute only has 5000km on it and it has been getting better as it runs in. Having said that, it did seem better after the fitting of the hubs.
I’m not a four wheel driver and I use the ute mainly for farm work.
I mainly bought them so the CV joints and drive shafts won’t wear out, I anticipate them lasting the life of the vehicle now.
The other big benefit they have is you can engage low range without being in four wheel drive if you leave the hubs unlocked.
I find reverse gear is too high in these Isuzus, it seems much faster than first gear, so I can now use low range when I am backing up with a load or a trailer on sealed surfaces without having to ride the clutch.
I used to do this all the time with my old Rodeo and it was quite handy.

The hubs are totally complete, brand new and in perfect condition. I source the best components from various hub manufacturers and further improve them where possible.    

The body is made of Steel. For the techno heads, there are 17 splines, 6 bolts and a PCD of 83mm.

These have new heavy duty housings. Over the years when you sell literally thousands of hubs you get to know which ones have a few issues and what those issues are. We picked up that these hubs had a slightly softer body and prone to crack especially around the bolt holes. So we have sourced a heavier body with a more suitable metal content and we no longer have these problems. But naturally they each cost me more and note we have to still compete with lesser quality items price wise. So please bare that in mind - if you want cheap and nasty then by all means shop around for the cheapest price.
