Like New Apparently unused or read. Will have no obvious flaws, marks or creases. May have very minor shelf wear. Suitable as a gift.

Very Good Has been read or used but remains in excellent condition. Clean and tight binding etc. Eg Spine uncreased. May show slight wear.

Good Has been read/used but remains clean, or with only a little marking. Book cover may have light creasing, creased spine, slightly tanned pages. Other items will have some signs of use.

Acceptable A well read/used copy. May have significant wear to the cover and pages. Pages may be tanned and include some highlighting or notes in the margins. Suitable as a reading copy. Other items will be suitable for purpose although with marked signs of wear.
