This is a beautiful illustrated edition of this charning story set in Kentucky of a young orphan boy name Chad from a little town called "Kingdom Come", first published  in 1903.  The book is in good to very good condition.  The covers are clean with minor scuffing, fading, and/or bumping.  The spine is tight and the pages are clear and easily readable, with minor fading or yellowing.  There is a gift inscription on the first blank page.  There is no dust jacket.  See photographs.

This is a wonderful book and it would be an great addition to anyone's book collection.

The book is about 7-1/2" x 9-1/2" x 1-1/4", 322 pages, and about 2-3 lbs.+/-  with packaging.
