The sapphire is NOT treated at all except for standard heat treatment which is the accepted standard in this industry, the sapphire shows a dark BLUE body tone as well as vivid saturation and a moderately strong hue. These are very high quality and rare color,tone, and saturation grades; accompanied by 1.00 ctw of round brilliant cut and fancy shaped G-VS diamonds showing excellent brightness, fire and light return complementing the vivid blue sapphire very nicely.
We would like to mention that this piece does come with an appraisal from one of our GIA accredited professionals, as part of the appraisal we will put an estimated retail replacement value of $200,000.00 USD We understand it is difficult to put a replacement retail price on such an antique, intricate work of art like this therefore we view this as a very conservative replacement price.
