Significant and authenticated principal screen-worn wardrobe from one of the most successful and influential shows in television history. Hugely popular, and syndicated throughout the world, Baywatch continues to generate unprecedented ratings more than a decade since it's last episode was shot and aired. Offered is the iconic "Los Angeles County Lifeguard" actually jacket worn by David Hasselhoff’s character Mitch Buchannon throughout the final season (and likely, during previous seasons). Obtained directly by a cast member from the Baywatch set during one of the show's last production days - and directly from Hasselhoff. Bright red jacket features a zip-up front and a Los Angeles County lifeguard logo patch on each arm. Exact photo-matches abound and includes a personal letter of authenticity which reads, in part: “The original owner had worked on the production (payslips enclosed) as an extra and had been given the jacket worn by David during the production of the show. The owner told me that near the end of the season of production word had gotten around that the show would be canceled so David had given it to him when he was shivering on the beach near the end of a hard day’s work. The jacket had subsequently been used by the owner’s girlfriend who applied patches to the piece and these were subsequently removed by myself.”

Also included are several payslips documenting the original owner's association with the show, as well as the actor's presence on the set during the final days of Baywatch production. In very good condition, with areas of adhesive remnants around the jacket from removed patches. This is an outstanding and irreplaceable representation featuring indisputable provenance, including nice Letter of Authenticity from RR Auction, universally recognized experts in this area of collecting.
