Here are some examples: (Assuming roof has another passive ventilation system in place such a Ridge Vent, Gable Vent or few Static Vents) House with Gable & Hip Roofs: - 1500sq feet house with 4’ Attic = 1x 30W Solar Attic Fan ( make sure you have at least 240 Square inches of vent area) - 1500sq feet house with 6’ Attic = 1x 30W Solar Attic Fan ( make sure you have at least 360 Square inches of vent area) - 1500sq feet house with 8’ Attic = 1x 30W Solar Attic Fan ( make sure you have at least 480 Square inches vent area) - 2000sq feet house with 4’ Attic = 1x 30W Solar Attic Fan ( make sure you have at least 320 Square inches of vent area) - 2000sq feet house with 6’ Attic = 1x 30W Solar Attic Fan ( make sure you have at least 480 Square inches of vent area) - 2000sq feet house with 8’ Attic = 2x 30W Solar Attic Fan ( make sure you have at least 640 Square inches of vent area) ESM’s Solar attic fan require 14” diameter opening for optimum performance, minimum opening is 12” which will reduce capacity.
