Cosmetic Mica Powder Colour
Safe for use on eyes, lips, face and nails.
Recommended for makeup and soap making.
Powders will vary in weight. The larger micron size are lighter and tend to be more airborne and the smaller micron powders are heavier.
Micas are non-toxic occurring naturally from the minerals muscovite and silicate. Mica if smaller than 20 microns, gives a satiny appearance while large micas provide a sparkly effect. Micas are then coated with various oxides, carmine and titanium dioxide to give a full range of colours. Make sure the colour you select may be used for the application you want. For example, the blue and green mica colours are coated with either ultramarines or chromium green which are not approved for use on the lips by the FDA. Our lip-safe micas are a wonderful way to add colour, shine, and sparkle to your soaps, shampoos, lip balms, lipsticks, lotions, creams, and mineral make up.
