This is a beautiful gold-handled plate from Thomas, Sevres, Bavaria, made, according to the mark, between 1908 and 1939.  The maker was the original porcelain factory in the town of Marktredwitz, which was founded in 1872 and opened under the name of Porzellanfabrik Jaeger, Thomas and Co.  Rosenthal became a major shareholder in 1907, and the company continued as an independent subsidiary of Rosenthal.

This piece is a hand-painted 6 5/8” plate in an Art-Deco-type design of pink and predominantly gold, with a lovely gold handle.  It is free of any crazing, chips, cracks, significant scratches, or other signs of damage.
