• Please find an excellent condition 1914 silver plated and raw brass(bell only) Besson Brevete Class A Prototype New Creation  Bb/A cornet with 2 original mouthpieces and an as new condition Bach Stradivarius cornet case. 
• The serial number is 100606 manufactured in London, England in 1914 and exported to the U.S. by Carl Fisher, New York. Two excellent condition original mouthpieces also included. There are no markings on the mouthpieces to indicate brand or size. 
• The bore size measured on the 2nd valve slide measures .460". The bell diameter measures 4.75". The instrument comes with 2 extra slides to get the horn into the key of A concert. There is also an additional mouthpiece cornet extension. There is also a vintage Carl Fisher slide grease tin that was in the dilapidated case the horn was in when I purchased the horn at a local auction. What was really amazing about this horn is that the case being over 100 years old protected the horn extremely well for over a century. Almost all the slides were stuck but other than that there were very few dings and no evidence of repair work on this horn. The silver was completely black with tarnish and the brass bell lacquer was severely deteriorated. After cleaning the horn it was evident to me the silver plating is in pristine condition with no plating loss anywhere. 
• The left side valve casing, top and bottom caps etchings show the numbers "10,11,and 12" correlating with valves 1,2 and 3 respectively. The valve guides also are marked with #s "1,2,and 3". The instrument has been chem cleaned and thoroughly cleaned inside and out all dings were gently removed. The horn was ultrasonically cleaned as well. All new valve stem and finger button  felts, waterkey cork and valve springs. The old springs were still in good condition but just did not provide enough push so I changed them out. The old springs will do fine if you prefer a lighter touch. I saved the old springs and they will be in the case storage compartment under the horn. Good valve compression and valve speed. 
• The case is in as new condition inside and out. There are 2 keys with the case. It has been sanitized no odors to worry about. 
• This horn feels and sounds like a new 101 year old horn. It plays in tune with a bigger than expected sound. 
• The horn will be thoroughly hand polished again the day before shipping. It will be clean, shiny, sanitized and ready to play right out of the box. I will also include an "Ultra Pure Deluxe Trumpet Care Kit" with the shipped horn. In addition I will include a jar of easy to use Wright's Silver Polish that will keep the silver-plated portion of the horn shiny for years when used as needed(not pictured). If per chance you would consider the raw brass bell portion of the horn lacquered with a baked on epoxy lacquer please inquire before purchasing.
