1973 Army Mitten Set - Extreme Cold Weather

These mittens are the ultimate in cold weather protection for your hands.

Gauntlet style, the outer shell is a cotton/nylon with leather palms and thumb; and are wind resistant. It features wool pile back hand which is used to warm your cheeks and nose and a removable quilted synthetic liner, which can be easily removed for quick drying or cleaning.

Each mitten has adjustable cinch straps. Pull them tight to keep out the snow. These Extreme Cold Weather Mittens will keep you comfortable in below zero temperatures. Great for any cold weather activity like snowmobiling, ice fishing, and so much more.

Shocked by how good of condition these gloves are. No rust on snaps or fasteners – clearly they were not exposed to the elements very long and were stored in a very clear dry area. Canvas is still slightly stiff and still dark green. Wool (on back) is clean and excellent condition. Leather on palms has some wear marks but overall is thick with little to no wear. All seems are clean and strong.

In my professional opinion as s U.S. Government buyer – I would say these gloves were museum quality.

Handwritten on the back of each glove is M012 R & M012 L (assuming that meant right / left hand)
