This 3mm scrim foam. It is a 3mm foam with a backing laminated on both sides. One side is a white felt like backing & other side is a nylon backing. Having a backing either side of the foam helps prevent the foam in the middle being damaged when being stitched. The backing makes it ideal for sewing through when backing vinyl & leather to create a stitched pattern. This is widely used in car trimming for padding door cards, car seats etc. Also used in upholstery when patterns need stitching in to the fabric, especially on headboards.

Folding this product does not damage the scrim, any creases will come out once left to rest. The fabric can be ironed on low heat to help ease any stubborn creases.
