"This is an interesting look at a long past world. The album is a collection of French Troubadour songs from the 12th and 13th century. I'm not qualified to say how authentic the playing is, but they are interesting. Mostly they're songs of a man singing accompanied by a mandolin or an instrument similar to a mandolin. They're nice and mellow for the most part. "
