The StopSleep ring continuously measures and analyses the conductance of your skin (also known as 'electrical conductivity' or EDA - 'electro-dermal activity'). StopSleep incorporates 8 sensors, which are used to measure this activity and which is a direct representation of the brain’s activity. By monitoring any variations of your EDA, StopSleep can sense drops in your brain activity and therefore drops in your awareness and concentration. These decreases in attention can be so subtle that a human would not even notice them, but StopSleep does, providing advanced alerts as soon as your awareness starts to decrease and at the first signs of drowsiness and driver fatigue.
