This is a rare & elaborate hand painted cabinet portrait plate depicting Marie Antoinette's Closest Friend and Confidant Princess de Lamballe. She Became Superintendent of the Queen's Household, and Her Intimate Companion. Her Salon Became the Meeting Place for the Queen's Secret Intrigues with Royalist Sympathizers in the National Assembly.
