Is this the sole example of a car only available in a Gift Set? I cannot quickly think of any others. There may have been colour changes like the Marlin and several only came with odd extras in the box but this never had its own number.

Anyway it is, I believe, the first appearance of the Renault 16TS when the Gift Set came out in 1968. The Renault has had a conversion with its hatchback completely removed and an extended floor added on which there should be a cameraman and a beautifully detailed camera. (That is actually quite remarkable - with a nice jewel even as its lens).

In addition the Set would have had a cyclist on a racing bike. The bike and two people have disappeared in this case as I really only wanted to have the car in stock. I shall, however, see  if I can complete the set in due course.

The bonnet opens and there’s a spare wheel in there. I always thought that this would be a Golden Jacks model in normal saloon form but that didn't happen. Understandably there's no folding seat mechanism on this one.

This has the black roof board. Whilst the board is clean the white paint on the sides has suffered a bit of paint loss but the bonnet decal is clean and complete and the roof sign undamaged. It’s not a bad example to fill that space for now!
