This Antique Sugar Bowl with Lid, is Lusterware Made in Japan by the Takito Company and is marked with the TT in diamonds mark. Known for lusterware, most decoration copied from Noritake. They also made Moriage wares in the Satsuma style. The Double Diamond pottery mark with the "TT" mark is found on much of their lusterware production and dates from the 1920's and 30's when this decoration style was fashionable for the US.

 

The Sugar Bowl is hand painted with a orange sky background reflecting on the water, a small island with a house on it is painted on this scene. The Lid has a vent hole in it and is lusterware.

The Sugar bowl has 2 handles that have been hand painted with 22k Gold Paint. Very minimal wear to the handles is present.

The Sugar Bowl Measures 4 1/4" Inches Tall from the Base to the Top of the Lid's Handle.

Measures  2 1/2" Inches in diameter at the base and   6" from Handle to Handle.

In very good Antique Condition with no chips, cracks, repairs and very minimal gold loss.
