Redesigned Upper
The Hoka One One Men's Clifton 3 Running Shoe has been redesigned with a lightweight, no-sew SpeedFrame construction to provide a seamless internal environment. This helps to reduce irritation and blistering that could occur during your training, thereby providing you with the greatest comfort whilst out on the road. In addition, the Clifton 3's upper now also features a more accommodating forefoot to allow for better toe splay; this, in turn, helps to improve stability and comfort for greater performance.
The air mesh panels incorporated into the design allow for greater ventilation and air flow to ensure that the wearer's feet stay cool, dry and comfortable throughout. Extra stability is added through the addition of synthetic overlays, which tighten as you fasten the laces to secure the foot in place.
Meta-Rocker Midsole
The Early-Stage Meta-Rocker midsole geometry is specifically designed with a low heel-to-toe differential and a sculpted outsole to create a fulcrum effect. This encourages a guided gait cycle for greater stride efficiency, which, in turn, supports the wearer's natural form whilst promoting an efficient, smooth roll from heel strike to toe-off. The midsole has also been equipped with a (HIP) CMEVA full-length midsole which provides industry-leading cushioning for increased impact protection, comfort and stability. Additionally, the midsole foam provides a degree of energy return to ensure that your steps remain charged throughout your run. For a light, smooth ride, these shoes answer the call.
The Hoka Clifton 3 running shoe is a neutral cushioned shoe, intended for runners who have a higher, more stable arch that does not pronate excessively (roll inwards) or even supinate (roll outwards). Neutral cushioned shoes offer very little or no structure or pronation support and are generally more flexible than stability shoes.
Durable Hoka Outsole
The Clifton 3 has an outsole that delivers a smooth heel-to-toe transition and ensures full ground contact for excellent traction and stability on a variety of surfaces. The tread pattern has been specifically researched and designed to provide the highest traction on road running surfaces so that you can run with greater confidence. Flex grooves etched into the outsole provide greater comfort, and ensure that you maintain the highest traction throughout the different positions within the gait cycle. For greater durability, the shoe features a strategically placed rubber which rolls up over the toe for enhanced protection at the toe-off phase.
