Who is the course for?

This course is designed to teach students with previous experience in OBD ECU programming. If you are a complete beginner in the remapping world please checkout our REMAP101 Remap Training Course. No previous experience in bench remapping or soldering will be needed for this course as it will be taught from beginner level up-to advanced.

Covering BOSCH EDC17’s tricore protection bench remapping, DSG gearbox remapping, BOSCH ME17’s tricore protection bench remapping, CONTINENTAL 1.6 TDi VAG bench remapping, BOSCH EDC15 ECU bench remapping, BOSCH ME7 ECU bench remapping and more.

Course Content:

On completion of our course, students will gain an understanding of topics such as:

Classroom based learning:

• How to correctly identify ECU’s that require Bench remapping.

• Understand correct procedure for ECU removal.

• Introduction to ECU’s and the different types.

• Understanding of ‘How to open ECU’s’.

• How to identified the components on ECU boards.

• Remapping tools / equipment.

• Software / programs available.

Practical based learning:

• Bench Remapping rules.

• Soldering teaching.

• I.D the ECU’s remapping file (via Bench).

• Reading the ECU’s remapping file (via Bench).

• Writing the modified file to the ECU (via Bench).

• DSG remapping, tuning and DSG programming

• Recovery of an ECU from a state of corrupt / non starting after bad file or flash.

• Recap, questions and answers.
