The Reverend Manta Ray HB Turquoise gives warm and lively tones with the acoustic richness and overtones of a full size semi-hollow. It's round enough for jazz, but this ray can sting too! There's plenty of sustain and attack for rock and blues thanks to Reverend's Special H humbuckers. The 1-3/4" thick body is slim and manageable and the flat top has a clean, fresh look. The translucent Turquoise body with Rosewood fingerboard and white binding make this one very classy looking instrument. Solid wood construction is featured throughout, you won't find any plywood in the Manta Ray HB. The back, sides and centre block are produced from one slab of Korina which is routed from the top. This is then capped with a solid flame Maple flat top. Excellent sustain and attack are coupled with substantial resonance, for a complex and responsive tone.
The Reverend Manta Ray HB Turquoise is a very desirable guitar. Locking tuners and graphite nut combined with the tunomatic bridge and stop tail means tuning is rock solid. It also features Reverend's bass contour control which re-voices the pickups. This can make the humbuckers sound more like single coils or somewhere in-between for a little bit more bite and attack.
Tobacco Burst Flame Maple, plenty of chrome and pearl block inlays with the single f hole adds a touch of class. The Reverend Manta Ray HB Turquoise Flame Maple is a well balanced and versatile professional guitar ready for the stage or studio.
