RCA Victor Victrola VV-50 Portable Phonograph 78 RPM Record Player Works Well

This is a nice, original example of the first portable Victrola.  This is the second version, with the crank on the side instead of the front, and dates to 1924 or so.    It plays a 3 minute record all the way through on one winding, but with not much to spare.  It is just a one spring motor, after all.  The brake and speed governor work well.  The reproducer is a Victrola No. 2. It works best with medium or soft needles.
The original finish is in great shape as-is and doesn't even really need to be enhanced.
I intend to pack this well, and the buyer may need to loosen the 4 corner screws to slide the packing material from beneath the spring case, and unpack the crank, handle and reproducer.  This will not be complex at all, (5 minutes, tops) but the machine will not be ready to play right out of the box.  "Some assembly required".  You can call or email me if you need any help at all.  Due to the size and weight of this device, the shipping is higher than it would be for a other items this size....local pickup is great and I can assemble it for you!

LOCAL PICK-UP POLICY: I allow local pick-up for folks living in the SF Bay Area.  The charge for local Pick-up is $5. I like to meet at the Starbucks on San Tomas Expressway & Saratoga Avenue.

SALES TAX POLICY: Santa Clara County Sales Tax of 8.75% is charged on all orders purchased in our lovely golden state of California.
