This is a super cool Banjo-Ukelele from masters of folk stringed instruments, Barnes & Mullins, with TGI branded black tolex fitted hardcase model 1989).
This is in every way a ukulele, same strings and tuning, so uke players with feel at home straight away, but it is in a resonator banjo body, giving a brash (in a good way!) and loud tone compared to a more traditional wooden bodied uke. There is an aluninium cone resembling a loudspeaker under the skin which vibrates when played, giving a punchy metallic voice.
