19thc English Burr Walnut Triple Fusee Musical 8 Bell Cathedral Bracket Clock

This clock is a top top quality antique English triple fusee carved burr walnut & bronze ormolu cathedral design musical bracket clock which plays on a nest of 8 bells and has a highly carved cathedral style case the quality of which is second to none with cast bronze ormolu mounts everywhere. The quality is like nothing i have seen very very fine

The clock case has a cathedral triple spire design to it which has some superb carved decoration especially to side fretts with a stunning colour and patina to the Burr Walnut with it all having very fine detail to it and with it all being in excellent original condition for age unmessed with and exactly how it should be

The clock features a hinged door to right hand side through which the movement can be accessed and viewed with original working lock and key. The back and front doors also have a working lock and key to them

The clock has a superb original painted dial with superb original brass hands, their is a selection lever to the top of the dial which is for the option of silent/chime. The dial has makers name to centre J.Barnard London
 

 

It has an 8 day English triple fusee musical 8 bell Whittington chime movement, it plays the whittington chime on a nest of 8 bells every 1/4 hour then will strike a seperate bell on the hour when the musical chime has finished

The clock is in full working order keeping good time and chiming when it should, the case is in great original condition for age which i am sure you can see from the pictures. The quality to the cast brass mounts are very fine

It comes with its original pendulum and winding key and is a true investment piece that can be enjoyed for years to come and can only appreciate in value

The clock has superb proportions measuring 25 inches high x 15.5 inches wide x 10.5 inches deep
