We are offering yet another great Ghurka bag.
Only a handful of craftsmen in the world were plying their trade of fine luggage making, an art that combined the crafts of leatherworking and styling. There, Ghurka textured leather was cleated and stitched onto tongue-and-groove birch frames in such a meticulous manner that only few sets were made each month.
And today, we have one to offer in our online store!
This case features: Strong yet lightweight hard frame; fully lined in Ghurka signature vintage twill strong canvas and British tan textured leather features organizational pockets, telescoping handles lock securely into multiple positions and would be hidden inside bag with securing zipper converting the carry-on to a duffle bag; Smooth and strong in-line skate wheels assures quality rolling action. Bag has an extended front compartment with flap top and solid chrome push-lock; was hand made by Italian masters.
This elegant luggage case was used with care and is in excellent condition. We rated inside the case 9.5 and outside 8.8 and overall 8.9 out of perfect 10! Case was sold for $1295 plus tax back in 2005.

Founded in Connecticut in 1975 by luxury belt and brace designer Marley Hodgson, Ghurka has served as a symbol of superior American leather craftsmanship for over thirty years.
The origins of the Ghurka brand can be traced back to a fortuitous discovery at a British auction house in the early 1970s. Hodgson inspired by his love of history and leather craft, bid on campaign travel gear and leather boots formerly owned by a British Ghurka officer stationed in India at the turn of the 20th century. He was so impressed by the quality of the nearly century-old leather – durable, yet supple in spite of its age – and by the intricate craftsmanship, that he was compelled to launch a line of comparable leather accessories. Hodgson tracked down the lost tanning formula for these boots, and for other accoutrement carried by the legendary Ghurka regiments, and applied the manufacturing process to his new collection “.
