Here for your consideration is a magnificent, limited edition,
collector's cased proof set, of 50 sterling silver ingots, all fully
hallmarked, depicting 1000 years of British Monarchy, and designed in 1973 by
the world renowned medallists John Pinches in conjunction with Franklin Mint.
Each ingot is exquisitely engraved with a profile of each monarch's head and a depiction of a famous scene from their reign. The reverse side of each ingot gives detailed information in raised lettering within an ornate border of each ruler, dates and famous event.
These fabulous silver ingots come in an attractive solid olive wood presentation box, complete with delightful red crushed velvet interior, and protective clear plastic cover with the name of each monarch in the correct order highlighted in gold gilt. This silver ingot set also comes complete with an accompanying paperwork and hardback book, in original red boxed case, by Sir Arthur Bryant "1000 Years of British Monarchy" which tells you all about each Monarch !!
Condition, these 50 silver ingots are in superb original condition, commensurate with 43 years of age. The olive wood case is also in very nice original condition, again commensurate with its age. A real testament to its previous owners care and consideration. These fabulous silver ingots have been locked away in a safety deposit box for the last 40 years !!
