Gibson Les Paul Triumph Bass Guitar Short Scale Rare White Finish 1976
Description

On offer is a seriously cool Gibson bass guitar from 1976, it is a Les Paul Triumph Bass featuring the very rare white finish... Yes, it started out as white but has "smoked out" after many years of use in bars, clubs, pubs and possibly even a rodeo or two along with an extended stay in Croatia. This bass has been around to say the very least and the original Gibson case tells the story...the case is beat up, it actually separates into two pieces, top and bottom, so a new case would be an excellent idea.

We have offered the bass with its "road worn" OHSC as we have been through this process many times and if we were to put the bass in a new case we would hear, ad infinitum... ready?.....ahem......

"Would've bought it if it had the original case."

Showing considerable playing wear that is expected on a hard working bass that is now 40 years old. Features a Gibson short scale of 30.5" and a couple of high/low output Gibson Humbuckers with plenty of variation via the extensive although user-friendly control panel.

Adam Clayton (U2) Paul McGuigan (Oasis) Alex James (Blur) and Gary Valentine (Blondie) are notable Les Paul Triumph bass players.

Set up by our crew here at DMS with Daddario EXL 170S, 45-100 gauge, perfect for the 30.5" scale. This is a great bass, very retro, very rare, very different and excellent to play.

All shots are of the actual Gibson Les Paul Triumph on offer which is also on display here in our retail store in Sydney's Inner West, you are very welcome to visit usopen 7 days a week from 10 am.
